If it takes 10,000 hours of practise to become elite. Consider me just that. Here is a video from 5 years ago.
Now I usually have cards on me 24 hours 7 days a week. The cards are usually in my hands anywhere between 4-7 hours any given day. So if I said I practiced on average 5 hours every day for 2000 days, that would be 5.48 years (5.47945205…) and that would be exactly 10,000 hours.
According to WTF Facts on Facebook:
Hundreds of years ago, humans would go to sleep early, wake up in the middle of the night to perform tasks, then go back to a second sleep.
Upon learning this I have immediately decided I would try this. I have always found I was more productive sleeping only 4-hours. I have previously read The 4-Hour Body by Tim Ferriss, where he goes into a great deal of detail on polyphasic sleep:
Hopefully this will give me not necessarily more[time], but more productive time, to complete tasks.
-Josh!
P.s One week since the 30 day challenge, still going strong!
Timothy Ferris.
The number on person to start with would have to be Tim Ferris. The person who came up with this very idea. (4-hour work week)
Now, Tim being a New York Times best seller on all 3 of his books (all of which I own), have massively helped me (and my friends) over the past couple or years. He obsesses over every detail of his projects and puts everything into them without the fear of failing. In “The 4-hour body” Tim puts his body though a whole bunch of tests confronting the truths and the fictitious world of weight loss and muscle gain.
David Blaine.
Although I met David back in 2009, I didn’t have any questions in mind, I was too drawn to his presence. It was so powerful -like gravity, In a hall full of magicians of all ages dying to meet him, I was the same as everyone else.
David inspired me with his street magic T.V series back in 1997, since then he has been impressing me with his endurance stunts. it’s amazing to see what the human body can go though, pushing yourself beyond the limit is what all of these people have in common and I think that has to be respected.
Arnold Schwarzenegger.
My all time hero. I don’t think there is a film with Arnold I haven’t seen, I remember watching the terminator when I was just 6 years old, and since then I was hooked! It’s hard to take in his life story without having your mouth open in shear amazement. When I watched “Pumping Iron” for the first time in 2010 I saw a whole other side to arnold, a ruthless side that takes what it needs and breaks all the rules.
You should do the same. write down 3 people who inspire you, and contact them with a simple, but thought provoking question, and let me know what you asked and what they replied.
