JOSH MADDOCKS RUNS
Just a normal bloke
running to London.
I'm Josh, a slower runner from King's Lynn, Norfolk. I'm documenting the journey from local 5Ks, parkruns and running clubs all the way to the 2027 TCS London Marathon.
26.2 miles. One very long journey.
THE STORY
I'm figuring this running thing out as I go.
I'm not an elite athlete and I'm definitely not the fastest person on the start line. Running became part of my life while losing weight, getting fitter and discovering just how brilliant the running community can be.
Now I've somehow got a ballot place in the 2027 London Marathon, so I'm documenting everything that happens between here and that finish line.

KING'S LYNN RUNNING
How many running clubs can one town have?
I've set myself a mission to visit the running clubs and social runs around King's Lynn and the surrounding area, meet the people behind them and find out what makes each community different.

A FAMILY ADVENTURE
We're all running now.
What started as my running journey has become something the whole family is part of.
My wife Emily is also running the 2027 London Marathon, raising money for Rays of Sunshine, while Ivy and Jack regularly join us around parkrun, junior parkrun and race days.
One family.
